Bitcoin Surges to 10.1% Return in Russia, Outpacing Traditional Assets
In July 2026, Bitcoin outperformed all traditional financial instruments in Russia, showing a 10.1% growth in ruble equivalent, according to the Bank of Russia's 'Financial Market Risk Review.'
The primary driver of this success was the global increase in Bitcoin's price on international markets, rather than fluctuations in the national currency's exchange rate.
This marked a significant achievement for Bitcoin, which demonstrated almost three times higher returns compared to traditional safe-haven assets like gold and foreign currencies. The yields of these assets were significantly more modest, ranging from 2.6% to 3.1% in rubles.
