Bitcoin Surges to 15-Week High as Solana Reaches New Heights
Bitcoin (BTC) has surged to a 15-week high after several weeks of stagnation, while other top performers include Solana (SOL), Zcash (ZEC), and Rain (RAIN).
The cryptocurrency market experienced a significant rally last week, with Bitcoin soaring from under $65,000 to almost $80,000 on Friday. After correcting over the weekend, the bulls returned, pushing the asset above $80,000 for the first time since mid-May.
Bitcoin continued its upward trend, reaching a new 15-month peak of $81,500 before slipping back to around $79,000 due to a hawkish speech by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh. Despite this setback, Bitcoin has managed to rebound and currently sits above $79,000, with a notable 2.5% weekly increase.
Not all cryptocurrencies have benefited from the rally, however, as some assets such as ADA, XLM, and BCH have dropped by up to 5% weekly.
