Bitcoin Surges to $80K on Cramer's Quantum Conundrum
Bitcoin has surged to $80K in what many are calling a mind-blowing rally. After reviewing online material, analysts and experts have finally reached a conclusion on what's behind this spectacular increase.
The answer isn't the US Treasury Department's announcement or the major White House crypto meeting. It's not Trump's words that the US has to lead in crypto and might accumulate BTC. Nor is it the renewed ETF inflows or de-escalating war developments.
The actual reason for this surge can be attributed to one person: Jim Cramer, a well-known market commentator. He recently interviewed IBM CEO Arvind Krishna about the potential quantum threat. After hearing Krishna's argument, Cramer announced on national TV that he would sell his Bitcoin.
He justified his decision by stating that Krishna is 'the man' when it comes to quantum. This isn't the first time Cramer has made a prediction; in July 2025, he created a PARC basket and added Coinbase (COIN) to it. A year later, COIN was down by over 60%. He also advised investors to sell all their crypto holdings in late 2022 when BTC had tumbled below $17,000.
