Bitcoin Surges to $81,282, Bringing Stocks Along
Bitcoin's price surged on Thursday to nearly $81,282, marking a near-3% increase over the past 24 hours. This rally follows a 23% surge in the cryptocurrency's price over the past 30 days, driven by positive regulatory news and announcements from the U.S. Treasury Department.
Industry-related stocks also rose quickly, with Bitcoin Treasury Strategy (MSTR) trading more than 13% higher on Thursday after resuming its bitcoin buys following a 10-week pause to restructure its cash balance sheet.
Coinbase's stock shot up by 11%, while top public companies in the space saw significant gains. HIVE Digital led with a 13% jump, followed closely by MARA Holdings at over 10% and CleanSpark at 9%.
