Bitcoin Surges to Third-Best August Since 2017
Bitcoin posted its third-best August performance since 2017, surging by a significant 25% over nine days. This impressive rally added approximately $350 billion to the total market cap during this period.
The strong showing has also brought in substantial investment, with spot Bitcoin ETFs seeing nearly $2.25 billion in inflows over just six days, a record that surpasses even October's numbers.
However, as the price of Bitcoin approaches its upper Bollinger resistance at $80,193.03, several technical indicators are flashing warning signs.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has entered overbought territory at 74.04, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) shows a death cross, a potentially bearish sign.
Despite these warnings, the 50-Exponential Moving Average (EMA) remains at $73,657.58 as a key support level, suggesting that Bitcoin may pull back towards this price before continuing its upward trajectory.
