Bitcoin Surges Toward $81K as Nvidia Earnings Send Risk Assets Soaring
Nvidia's impressive Q2 earnings of $96.2 billion have sent shockwaves through the markets, pushing Bitcoin (BTC) price toward $81,000.
The tech giant's stock surged over 9% on Thursday, with its market cap gaining more than $400 billion.
This boost to risk assets has investors turning their attention to the US Federal Reserve's Jackson Hole economic symposium, where Fed chair Kevin Warsh will deliver a keynote speech on Friday.
Analyst David Eng believes that this week's options expiry event may provide a catalyst for further price action, with BTC potentially breaking above $82,000 and clearing the path to $85,000 or higher.
