Bitcoin Surmounts $65k as US Inflation Data Looms
Bitcoin surpassed $65,000 this week, fueled by a weak U.S. jobs report that eased concerns about further Federal Reserve rate hikes ahead of key inflation data on Wednesday.
The major cryptocurrencies mostly rose, with ether, BNB and Solana posting gains while XRP lagged behind as the only large token in the red over both the day and the week.
Global equities and chipmakers extended their recent rallies, oil prices rose due to renewed Middle East tensions, and U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar firmed up, despite bitcoin's technical setbacks in its own ecosystem.
