Bitcoin Tackles $65K Resistance as Whale Accumulation Builds
Bitcoin is facing one of its most significant technical tests in months as it approaches the $65,000 resistance level. This trendline has been a barrier to major price increases since late 2025, and a decisive break above it could shift the market's direction.
Despite some analysts warning that Bitcoin may revisit the $52,000 to $55,000 region in a worst-case scenario, improving whale activity and growing inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs suggest the broader market is preparing for its next leg higher. According to Santiment, wallets holding between 10 and 10,000 BTC have increased their balances by 0.34% since July 29, while wallets holding less than 0.01 BTC have reduced their holdings by 0.59%. This divergence highlights a familiar pattern of institutional investors accumulating Bitcoin as retail participants capitulate.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted approximately $755 million in net inflows so far this month, lifting total assets under management to nearly $79 billion. Continued demand for these funds has provided steady buying pressure throughout the current consolidation phase and reinforces the longer-term bullish outlook.
