Bitcoin Taps $64k Ahead of Fed Decision Amid AI-Linked Tech Weakness

Bitcoin reached levels of $64,075.5 on Wednesday as investors held off making large bets ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve's policy decision.

The cryptocurrency showed resilience despite renewed selling in AI-linked technology stocks, including semiconductor and artificial intelligence shares that have been under pressure this week.

According to CME FedWatch data, markets still price a roughly 68% probability that the central bank will leave interest rates unchanged, while assigning about a 32% chance of a 25-basis-point rate increase.

A hawkish-than-expected outcome could weigh on cryptocurrencies and other risk-sensitive assets, but for now Bitcoin remains stable as investors monitor the Fed's decision.
