Bitcoin Tests $78K Support Amid Rising US Crude Prices

Bitcoin slid below $78,000 on Tuesday after US equity markets declined and crude oil surged to its highest level since June. The drop marked Bitcoin's first move under $78,000 since September 3, with BTC/USD hitting as low as $77,600 before a modest rebound.

The macro conditions appeared to be the main driver of the price action, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite down by about 0.5% and 0.4%, respectively.

Trader Rekt Capital noted that Bitcoin's behavior is resembling the market structure that followed a failed breakout in May, with the retest of the ~$78,300 area now in progress.
