Bitcoin Tests Crucial Support Level at $63,800 Amid Bearish August Outlook

The price of Bitcoin has dropped to $64,000 after a recent rally, and it's currently testing a crucial support level at $63,800.

Popular analyst Ali Martinez says that this level will determine the next leg for BTC, whether it will rebound towards its monthly high or crumble down to $60,000.

Martinez believes that if the level holds as support, he'll watch for a rebound towards $67,000. However, if it breaks, the next downside target sits around $60,000.

Historically, August has been a bearish month for BTC, with only three out of the past 12 months posting gains. Martinez notes that small whales holding between 100 and 1,000 BTC have seen their positions turn green, which in the past preceded short-term upticks or more profound rallies.

Rekt Capital agrees with Martinez' bearish assessment, noting that all of BTC's recent breakout attempts have been halted at approximately $65,500 on the weekly scale. This is where the 50-Month EMA is positioned.
