Bitcoin to Outpace Gold as Reserve Asset Grows, Says CZ
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao predicts that Bitcoin will surpass gold in importance as more nations adopt it as a strategic reserve asset. Speaking at a recent fireside chat, CZ stated that gold's current lead is due to established systems and infrastructure, not the metal itself.
CZ emphasized that replacing these systems takes time, particularly for large economies with mature financial structures. However, he believes Bitcoin has a stronger long-term position, citing its expanding role in national reserves and retirement pension funds as key drivers of adoption.
The Binance founder also predicted that Bitcoin could reach $1 million sooner than most current market forecasts suggest, tied closely to broader adoption trends. He noted that utility, not price alone, will decide the pace of this shift, with large-scale payments serving as a clear signal of Bitcoin's growing importance.
