Bitcoin Tops $80K Amid Fidelity Caution Over Bear Market
Bitcoin's price surged past $80,000 after a 4.3% gain on Friday, extending its recovery that began in late August.
Fidelity is cautious about this rebound, however, and believes it doesn't yet confirm the end of the bear market.
The firm points to Bitcoin's four-year cycle as one possible guide, with major market tops and bottoms often appearing approximately four years apart.
Since Bitcoin reached its previous bear-market low in November 2022, this pattern could place another possible low around November 2026, although Fidelity notes that the cycle may not repeat exactly.
