Bitcoin Touches $80K Again as Solana Surges to 7-Month High
Bitcoin's price has been on the move again, surging over $2,000 since yesterday's low and edging closer to its $80,000 resistance. Meanwhile, Solana has emerged as today's top performer among larger-cap assets, jumping by a significant 8% to a new local high of $105.
This latest rally for Bitcoin began just over a week ago when it broke out of the $65,000 resistance and surged to $70,000 within hours. Since then, the bulls have maintained pressure, driving the cryptocurrency to $75,000 on Thursday and reaching a multi-month high at almost $80,000 on Friday morning.
However, despite its initial failure to breach the $80,000 level on its first attempt, Bitcoin eventually surged past it on Tuesday morning, adding over $16,000 in value in less than a week. The market capitalization of BTC has now risen past $1.6 trillion on CG, with its dominance over altcoins standing at over 58%.
