Bitcoin Traders on High Alert as Volatility Tightens and Range Narrows
Bitcoin is currently trading in a tight daily range near $64,000, sparking caution among traders that a sharp move could be imminent. According to Ted Pillows, this compression may precede a larger price movement, with the key upside level being the $70,000-$72,000 zone.
The Bollinger Bands on Bitcoin's chart have narrowed around the current price, indicating reduced volatility. However, Ted cautions that prolonged compression can make a later breakout more significant. To reclaim the higher resistance zone, Bitcoin first needs to push through its recent consolidation and build momentum above the mid-$60,000s.
On the downside, if Bitcoin fails to regain control of the $70,000-$72,000 area, it may expose the July lows around the $60,000 mark. Trader az also predicts a potential move down toward $63,800 before possibly targeting $60,000-$61,000.
