Bitcoin Traders Pin Hopes on September 15 Clarity Act Vote
Bitcoin traders are pinning their hopes on September 15 as the next major catalyst for the market, following a string of regulatory developments that have seen the price of Bitcoin surge to its best week since 2023.
The Senate vote on the Clarity Act is now scheduled for September 15, providing a fixed date for traders to position around rather than an open-ended policy timeline.
Analysts have floated a range of price targets tied to the vote, with VanEck's Matthew Sigel predicting $100,000 within a year and up to $500,000 by 2029. Standard Chartered's Geoff Kendrick also believes Bitcoin could retest its record high of $126,000 before year-end.
A successful vote is expected to send Bitcoin sharply higher on locked-in regulatory guardrails, while a failed vote could trigger a short-term sell-off although markets may pivot quickly back to macro liquidity conditions and CFTC rulemaking as a fallback path.
