Bitcoin Trades Flat as Sell-Off Fades, Market Remains Vulnerable
Bitcoin's price action was muted on Wednesday, hovering near $63,400 after a volatile intra-day swing. The cryptocurrency had declined for two consecutive days before rebounding in the early morning hours.
A sharp rally lifted Bitcoin past $64,000, but it was short-lived as a sell-off followed, pulling the price down to $63,317. However, the cryptocurrency managed to recover and trade at nearly the same price level as 24 hours earlier.
The flat price action had little impact on Bitcoin's market capitalization, which remained unchanged at $1.27 trillion. The seven-day loss was still a notable 2%.
Despite some optimism from Strategy CEO Phong Le, who downplayed his company's recent bitcoin sales, analysts remain cautious. Glassnode warned that a weak response to favorable economic news is itself a warning signal, and the market remains vulnerable to overleveraged long positioning on low spot volume.
