Bitcoin Trading Volume Hits Two-Year Low Amid Exchange Closures

Crypto markets are facing a low point in trading volume, with Bitcoin spot trading averaging just $2.2 billion per day in July 2026.

This is the weakest sustained level since November 2023, according to research firm K33.

Bitcoin's price has remained relatively stable, hovering near $63,300 within a range of $60,000 to $66,000.

The decline in trading volume has led to exchange closures, with BitMEX shutting down in September 2026 and other platforms like BitMart and AscendEX facing financial difficulties.
