Bitcoin Trapped in Descending Channel as Buyers Struggle with Resistance
Bitcoin's price action has been stuck in a descending channel since its July 21 peak, with buyers failing to recover the resistance formed by the 50-day simple moving average near $63,280 and the 0.236 Fibonacci retracement around $63,600.
The proximity of these two levels creates a single resistance band, making it difficult for Bitcoin to break through.
Previous price action shows that recovering only the lower edge of this band would leave the Fibonacci level and the descending channel overhead.
A daily close above the full range would help repair some of the recent technical damage, but breaking and holding above the upper channel boundary is still necessary before the sequence of lower highs ends.
Support sits near $62,100, which has already stopped several declines during the current correction. However, a daily close below this level would remove the nearest horizontal floor and put pressure on the channel boundary.
If both levels fail, the chart shows limited established support before the broader area around $58,000.
