Bitcoin Treasury Companies Take Divergent Paths Amid Shifting Market
Three major Bitcoin treasury companies have made significant moves in recent days, highlighting shifting strategies and market trends.
Strateg, a leading institutional holder of BTC, has not made any purchases for what appears to be an extended period. According to its founder Michael Saylor, the company neither bought nor sold any Bitcoin last week. Notably, Strateg did repurchase preferred shares of STRC for $139.3 million from its cash reserves.
This move was funded entirely from Strateg's USD reserves, which decreased by approximately $140 million, from $6.54 billion to $6.4 billion.
Meanwhile, another BTC treasury company, Strive, continued buying, acquiring 469 $BTC at an average price of $77,954 last week. This brings their total holdings to 25,000 $BTC.
In a more dramatic move, KULR Technology, a NYSE-listed company, has completely exited its Bitcoin treasury strategy by selling off its remaining 764 BTC. The sales were conducted at an average price of $76,633 per coin, generating approximately $58.6 million in gross revenue.
