Publicly listed companies that bet big on Bitcoin are facing financial strain and starting to sell off their cryptocurrency holdings.

The shift comes after a prolonged decline in both Bitcoin's price and the share prices of these companies, making it difficult for them to raise fresh capital.

Strategy (formerly Microstrategy), which holds the most Bitcoins, hasn't purchased any new BTC in the last four weeks. Instead, the company sold stocks to boost its cash reserves to $3.2 billion.
