Bitcoin Tumbles Below $77,000 Amid US-Iran Conflict Escalation

BTC's price drop below $77,000 came after President Trump confirmed renewed US airstrikes on Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz.

The announcement led to a decline in Bitcoin's value, with the token falling more than 1.3% to 2% during the session.

This is not the first time that escalations between the US and Iran have triggered selloffs in the cryptocurrency market.

Since February, similar incidents have pushed BTC below $77,000 and even toward $62,000.
