Bitcoin Tumbles Below $80,000 as Crypto Markets Feel Broad Selling Pressure
Crypto markets faced broad selling pressure on Tuesday, with losses recorded across all major digital assets. Solana led the declines, dropping 3.27% to $105.63, followed closely by XRP and Dogecoin, which fell 2.18% and 2.38%, respectively.
Bitcoin also felt the pinch, slipping below the closely watched $80,000 threshold and falling 0.83% to $79,596.64. The widespread nature of the declines suggests a cautious tone across the broader market, with risk appetite appearing subdued in the morning session.
Ethereum was the relative outperformer, inching lower by just 0.25% to $2,505.02. Traders will be watching whether Bitcoin can reclaim the $80,000 level as a signal of near-term stabilisation.
