Bitcoin Tumbles Below $80K as Internet Computer Soars 13% to Four-Month High
Bitcoin (BTC) prices fell below $80,000 on September 7, triggering a broad decline in the cryptocurrency market. However, Internet Computer (ICP) bucked the trend by surging 13% intraday to break decisively above the $3 mark, hitting its highest level since June 4.
The DFINITY ecosystem has made significant advancements in integrating decentralized AI and the Bitcoin Layer-2 ecosystem, alleviating market concerns over token unlocks and inflation. Additionally, after non-farm payroll data was released, expectations for Fed rate cuts rose, leading to a rotation of profit-taking capital from mainstream assets into ICP.
ICP's next resistance level is at $4, representing a 33% upside from current levels. If the asset experiences a pullback, traders should monitor whether it can retest and hold above $2.7, which served as the previous high-volume trading zone/breakout point.
