Bitcoin Unfazed by Historic Tech Rally
Bitcoin's price remained steady near $64,000 despite a significant surge in South Korea's Kospi index, which rose 17% on its largest single-day jump on record.
The Kospi's rally, led by Samsung and SK Hynix shares, did not have an impact on crypto markets, with Bitcoin experiencing only a fraction of a percent move in 24 hours.
This divergence has raised questions about whether crypto is losing its correlation with high-growth tech equities. The decoupling was not limited to Bitcoin, as most major altcoins remained lower on the week.
The reason for this disconnect lies in several structural factors, including thinning crypto volumes and institutional flows favoring regulated instruments like futures ETFs and tokenized real-world assets.
