Bitcoin Volume Hits Four-Year Low Amid Macroeconomic Pressures

Bitcoin's trading volume has reached its lowest level since the 2023 bear market, a stark indication of declining global interest in the cryptocurrency.

Data from CryptoQuant reveals that spot trading volumes across major exchanges have plummeted by over 75% from their peak in late-2024, with Binance recording a significant decline.

The slowdown in Bitcoin trading activity is not exclusive to Binance, as Bybit, Coinbase, and OKX also saw substantial decreases in the metric. On these exchanges, Bitcoin spot volumes fell by 85%, 61%, and 67% respectively during the same period.

Market analysts attribute this decline in investor interest to macroeconomic pressures that have reduced appetite for risk assets, leading them to predict a slow recovery without significant improvement in economic conditions.
