Bitcoin Volumes Plummet, But Experts Predict Long-Term Recovery
Bitcoin's average spot trading volume fell to $2.2 billion in July, its weakest since November 2023.
The decline was expected due to fears of interest rate hikes and other macro headwinds that have chilled the broader cryptocurrency market this year.
Despite this, experts believe Bitcoin will recover once the macroeconomic environment stabilizes.
Bitcoin's price has been below its all-time high of over $126,000 since October 2025, but investors who bought in at lower prices have seen significant gains.
In November 2021, Bitcoin hit $69,000 amid a buying frenzy, but the Fed's rate hikes ended that rally and drove investors to more conservative investments.
By November 2023, Bitcoin's price had sunk to around $37,700, but those who bought in at that time would now be sitting on a 72% gain.
