A significant movement of Bitcoin has taken place after over 15 years of dormancy. On August 16, an address holding 8.54 BTC moved its entire balance in a single transaction, valued at approximately $538,000.

The funds had been received on June 13, 2011, when the price of Bitcoin was around $14. This means that the holder would have seen an estimated gain of 461,981% if they sold their coins now.

However, it is essential to note that this transaction does not necessarily indicate a sale. The address has no public attribution, and the owner's identity remains unknown. According to Galaxy Research, the holder may have moved the funds for security or custody reasons without sending them to an exchange or realizing a profit.
