A Bitcoin wallet that had been dormant for over 12 years has transferred 26.96 BTC to a new address.

The transfer was made after a security crisis related to Coldcard, which resulted in over $116 million in losses.

The wallet's history dates back to January 2014 when it received approximately $803 worth of Bitcoin.

The value of the assets stored in this wallet has grown significantly since then, reaching $1.76 million by August 2026.
