The balance was first received on June 13, 2011, when the price of Bitcoin was around $14. The transaction took place on August 16, with the full balance moved in one transaction recorded in block 962,770.
The address has no public attribution, leaving the identity and reason for moving the funds unknown. Galaxy Research reported that the transfer does not necessarily indicate a sale, as it could be for security or custody reasons.
