A significant Bitcoin wallet has moved its funds after 15 years of dormancy. On June 13, 2011, the wallet received 8.54 BTC when Bitcoin traded at around $14.

The balance was valued at roughly $538,000 in a single transaction on August 16, representing an estimated 461,981% gain from its initial value.

The address has no public attribution, leaving the identity of the holder and their reason for moving the funds unknown. Galaxy Research reported that the transfer does not necessarily mean the owner sold the coins, as a holder can move Bitcoin between wallets for security or custody reasons without sending it to an exchange or realizing a profit.
