Bitcoin Wallets From 2011 Emerge with Unbelievable Gains
Four long-dormant Bitcoin wallets have moved over $15 million in recent days, according to blockchain monitoring by Galaxy Research. This includes a wallet from 2011 that gained more than 2.5 million percent on its original cost.
The largest move came first, with a 146.06 BTC stash valued at around $11.31 million moving after being inactive since November 2013. It showed a gain of about 12,902% from its original cost basis near $595.
An even more impressive gain was seen in a 40 BTC wallet bought at an average price near $3 in November 2011, turning roughly $120 into about $3.09 million after nearly 15 years.
