Bitcoin Whale Bleeds $5.25M as 16th Consecutive Loss Strikes
A Bitcoin whale who took on $38.07 million in short positions has suffered its 16th consecutive loss, totaling $5.25 million over a month.
The trader, using 20x leverage, opened the latest short position just 60 hours ago and closed it after realizing a loss of $288,000.
This marks another failure for the whale's bearish strategy since August 19th, when it started consistently opening short positions in anticipation of Bitcoin's price decline.
The high-leverage trade amplifies both gains and losses, making even small price movements devastating. In this case, a 5% adverse price change could wipe out the entire margin.
