Bitcoin Whales Accumulate $2.75 Billion as Market Nears Turning Point
The Bitcoin market appears to be at a critical juncture as large holders, known as 'whales,' begin accumulating their positions. According to data from CryptoQuant, these whales have purchased approximately 43,000 Bitcoins over the past 60 days, with a total value of around $2.75 billion at current prices.
This accumulation began when the Bitcoin price dropped to around $60,000, marking an end to several months of net selling by these large investors. Data from Glassnode shows that medium-sized holders and 'humpback whale' tier large holders have also been buying recently, with nearly all holder cohorts exhibiting clear buying behavior since late July.
The recovery in spot demand is another positive sign for the market. CryptoQuant's 30-day apparent spot demand indicator has rebounded significantly, recovering from -206,000 Bitcoins on July 23 to approximately -5,000 Bitcoins currently.
