Bitcoin Whales Accumulate $2.9 Billion in BTC Amid Retail Selloff
Bitcoin wallets holding more than 10,000 BTC have accumulated $2.9 billion worth of cryptocurrency over the past 60 days, a significant buying spree since March 2026.
This surge in demand from large investors, also known as 'whales,' is a stark contrast to the behavior of retail investors with smaller holdings, who sold nearly 10,000 BTC during the same period.
The majority of this buying pressure comes from Asian and international exchanges, while US-based demand appears weaker.
Institutional interest in Bitcoin remains strong, with groups like H100 adding thousands of BTC to their portfolios, indicating sustained confidence among large investors.
