Bitcoin Whales Flood Market with $127M in BTC, Will Price Break Above $70K?
Bitcoin's recent price consolidation around $65,000 has been accompanied by significant on-chain activity from large investors. According to Coinpedia, whale transactions worth over $127 million have taken place in the past few hours, with four newly created wallets receiving a combined 1,540 BTC (valued at approximately $99.4 million) from Galaxy Digital and BitGo.
Additionally, another newly created wallet withdrew 434.87 BTC (valued at nearly $28 million) from Binance, bringing the total amount of Bitcoin transferred into fresh wallets to nearly 1,975 BTC (worth over $127 million). This accumulation is supported by Santiment data showing that wallets holding between 10 and 10,000 BTC have increased their holdings by 0.34% since July 29.
The movement of large amounts of BTC into newly created wallets suggests long-term accumulation rather than near-term selling. Bitcoin's price action continues to face a crucial technical test around the $66,500 mark, where a decisive breakout could confirm a pattern breakout and shift momentum in favor of bulls.
