Bitcoin's $1 Million Price Target by 2030 May Be Unattainable, Researcher Warns
Bitcoin's path to reaching $1 million by 2030 faces significant mathematical hurdles, according to Markus Thielen, head of research at digital asset analysis firm 10x Research. Thielen argues that the capital required to push Bitcoin to this price point is so enormous that it's practically unattainable under normal market conditions.
The current market capitalization of $1.28 trillion would need an additional $15 trillion in net inflows over the next four years to reach $1 million per coin, Thielen estimates. This figure represents about a quarter of the entire U.S. stock market's total value and has no historical precedent.
Thielen emphasizes that a larger market capitalization makes each successive percentage gain more expensive, explaining why investors should not assume Bitcoin will repeat its previous cycle recoveries on the same timeline.
