Bitcoin's 23% Surge Draws Largest Short-Term Holder Inflows Since February

Bitcoin's recent price surge of over 23% in three days has triggered the largest influx of short-term holder inflows to Binance since February. According to on-chain data from CryptoQuant, approximately 53,000 BTC moved to exchanges during this period, with 17,800 BTC flowing into Binance.

All of these coins came from short-term holders who bought their Bitcoin in less than a day prior, while long-term holders, those who have held the cryptocurrency for six months or more, sent no coins to Binance. This suggests that the selling pressure is purely speculative rather than structural, as characterized by CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost.

The rally was fueled by a combination of factors, including nearly $3 billion in short positions being liquidated over a 24-hour period and the U.S. Treasury's decision to buy back long-dated bonds. Additionally, President Donald Trump's pro-crypto remarks at a White House summit added another tailwind.
