The cryptocurrency market has seen its most significant surge in activity over the past three years. Bitcoin's price skyrocketed by over 23% in just one week, breaking through the key psychological barrier of $77,500 and holding above important moving averages according to TradingView data.

This rally marks a change from the gloomy picture of the first two quarters of 2026, restoring optimism to the market after months of intense pressure on the price. The first half of the year proved difficult for investors, with declines in January and February followed by a 20.5% plunge in June.

However, moderate growth in July turned into a genuine explosion in August, with the month-to-date return standing at an abnormal 22.7%, compared to the historical average of just 0.82%. Technical analysts have begun talking about the complete end of the bear market phase, with popular expert Doctor Profit noting that the structure of the price movement has shifted in favor of buyers.
