A 23% surge in Bitcoin's price has left analysts debating whether the market has finally bottomed out.

The price of BTC jumped from $62,900 to $77,306 over the past week, fueled by massive buying pressure and short liquidations totaling $4 billion.

CoinGlass data showed that on August 19th and 21st, a combined total of $3.994 billion was liquidated in shorts, marking two of the largest short liquidation events this year.

Veteran trader Killa noted that an explosive rally like this typically marks a trend transition, as short positions have been 'completely obliterated.'
