Bitcoin's $2.5 Billion ETF Streak Faces Critical Test in 30 Minutes
Bitcoin's seven-session U.S. spot ETF inflow streak totals $2.5697 billion through Aug. 25, lifting BTC near $78,500, $79,000 (up ~22.8% week) while BlackRock's IBIT contributes $284.4 million or 90.5% of the latest $314.3 million session.
That bullish ETF and fundraising signal faces a macro test at 8:30 a.m. ET on Aug. 26 when July PCE, the second-estimate Q2 GDP, and July durable-goods prints are released. The data could push the 10-year yield (~4.64-4.65%) and DXY (~99), risking downward pressure on crypto prices and institutional flows across CEX and DEX if inflation surprises.
Bitcoin's price is near $78,508 before the release window, down about 2% over 24 hours but still up roughly 22.8% over seven days. The asset therefore enters the release window with substantial recent gains, but without evidence yet of how it will respond to a fresh move in yields or the dollar.
The ETF inflow streak is measurable. Farside Investors' daily table shows seven consecutive positive U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF sessions from Aug. 17 through Aug. 25. However, fund-flow data do not identify end investors, so the aggregate cannot establish broad institutional participation on its own.
