Bitcoin's $63,000 Threshold: Make or Break for Fresh Upside
The price of Bitcoin is hovering around $65,000, but according to 10x Research, it needs to stay above $63,000 for fresh upside. This level has been dubbed a 'binary level' because which side Bitcoin lands on could significantly shift market sentiment.
Bitcoin spent six months consolidating around $60,000 before the 2024 U.S. presidential election, and President Trump's victory helped propel it from around $70,000 to $90,000. However, there was relatively little turnover between $70,000 and $90,000 during this rally, leaving Bitcoin vulnerable to a rapid decline once it fell below $93,000.
Now that the market has spent another six months consolidating around $60,000, 10x Research believes the distribution of coins changing hands has shifted significantly. This makes the current range far more important for Bitcoin's next major move.
