Digital-asset analyst Ali Martinez pointed out that Bitcoin has historically weakened in August. According to his data, the cryptocurrency's average return in August is -10%. This means that over the past four years, Bitcoin has posted losses every single month in August.

In 2022, Bitcoin declined by 13.88% in August, followed by a 11.29% drop in 2023, an 8.60% fall in 2024, and a 6.49% decline in 2025. As of the current date, Bitcoin is trading at $63,839, down 0.17% from a day earlier.

Martinez's statement serves as a reminder for investors to be cautious when approaching August investments in Bitcoin.
