Bitcoin's Bear Market May Not Be Over Despite Strong August Rally
Fidelity Digital Assets has cautioned that Bitcoin's strong August performance may not necessarily mean the cryptocurrency's broader bear market has ended.
While the latest rally has improved market conditions, the firm said investors should still consider the possibility of another market bottom later this year.
Bitcoin posted its strongest monthly gain since late 2024 during August, while Ethereum and other major cryptocurrencies also recorded substantial advances.
The move has led some investors to argue that the market may have already established a bottom. However, Fidelity warned that investors should not assume the bear market is definitively over.
