Bitcoin's Bull Run Falters: Analyst Warns of Major Correction Ahead
Nicholas Merten, a well-known crypto analyst, has expressed bearish sentiments on Bitcoin (BTC), warning of a major correction ahead. In a recent video update to his 510,000 YouTube followers, he forecasts a significant downturn for the prominent cryptocurrency.
Merten highlights signs of trouble emerging in Bitcoin's price action and similar movements in altcoins. Indicators of a macroeconomic recession are also gaining prominence, which could have a negative impact on cryptocurrencies.
The analyst notes that the 21-day exponential moving average (EMA) has become a resistance level for Bitcoin. He warns that its value might fall below the $80,000 threshold, citing the potential for a drop to the low $80,000 range or even as low as $76,000 if support levels are not held.
Merten emphasizes that such a correction would severely impact altcoins and could result in a 25% to 30% pullback. He stresses that this is not an 'end-of-the-world' scenario but a significant correction that investors should be aware of.
