Bitcoin's Dormant Supply Stirs as 2011 Wallets Move

A wave of activity has been observed in Bitcoin's dormant supply as wallets containing coins untouched since 2011 have started to move.

According to Galaxy Research, a wallet containing 10 BTC received on June 17, 2011, moved the coins on August 29 in block 964,539 after remaining dormant for roughly 15.2 years.

The coins were worth about $777,000 at the time of the transfer and represented a realized gain of roughly 503,364%.
