Bitcoin's Fate Hangs on $78,000 Moving Average
Cryptocurrency analyst Benjamin Cowen believes Bitcoin's recent stall near $78,000 may be a crucial test for its potential to break into a new bull cycle.
Cowen points out that the current rally bears similarities to 2018, when Bitcoin rallied over 40% from its summer low before stalling at its 50-week moving average.
The 50-week MA is seen as a key level by Cowen, who notes that previous bull-market transitions often spent weeks around this level before breaking higher.
Cowen also cautions that historical precedent leaves the door open for another decline later this year, and suggests that sustained weekly closes above the 50-week MA would be needed to shift his bearish bias.
