Bitcoin's Final Mined Supply Ticks Closer
Bitcoin's mining process has been unfolding since 2009, resulting in approximately 20.07 million BTC being mined so far.
However, with a cap of 21 million BTC, there are still about 929,465 BTC waiting to be mined under the programmed halving events every four years.
The next halving event is scheduled for 2028, which will reduce daily new BTC issuance from 450 to 225. By that time, mining rewards have already been cut in half twice.
