The figure is based on a metric developed by Woo using Glassnode data, which estimates unique entities holding Bitcoin and provides a snapshot of the cryptocurrency's expanding footprint.

This marks a significant increase from earlier years and reflects the steady influx of new investors despite market volatility. In contrast to traditional markets, Bitcoin is a borderless asset that has attracted a broad international following, particularly in regions with unstable currencies or limited access to traditional banking.
