Bitcoin's Long-Term Holders Fuel Accumulation as Price Hovers Around $62,836
Bitcoin's price has been hovering around $62,836 after dropping to $61,300 earlier this year and marking a 30% decline since January 2026. Long-term holders have increased their total holdings by 200,000 BTC in the last month, reaching 16.3 million BTC. This accumulation follows a period where long-term holders offloaded $2.4 billion in early June after remaining dormant from February through April.
The market price sits above the long-term holder realized price of $49,737 but below the short-term holder realized price of $69,007. The 200-week moving average is sitting in the $62,000 to $63,000 range and provides a long-term trend line for buyers to watch.
Short-term holders have been offloading assets, with $337 million per day in losses in the first quarter of 2026, totaling roughly $30.91 billion in realized losses for 2026 so far. The current price remains below both the 50-day EMA and the 200-day EMA, indicating a corrective market structure.
